Vicki L. Etheridge, CDT

Vicki is a native of Wilson, NC, however she has lived in Raleigh, NC, Durham, NC, Richmond, VA and Marathon Key, FL. She will tell you that “home is where the heart is”. She graduated from Rock Ridge High School and became a certified as both a CNA and EMT from Wilson Community College. She also received her CDT and is a member of The Association of Certified Dermatology Technicians (ACDT). When Vicki moved home to Wilson, NC from Richmond, VA, she started working as a medical assistant to Dr. Polley. She remembers when there were 5 employees and then as many as 50 plus. She was then promoted to Clinical Coordinator, making sure all clinics were well staffed with qualified personnel for patient care and enforcing state and federal regulations. After years of as Clinical Coordinator, she answered the call to become the Practice Administrator. This position involves every aspect of the practice and business of medicine. She constantly works to maintain Polley Clinic’s brand and stellar reputation. She always keeps an open mind and is a good listener. She is an “idea” person and is effective in seeking out and fixing inefficiencies that inevitably occur in a large business. All of Vicki’s emails end with, “Continuing to give the best patient care possible!” During her free time, she can be found pruning her roses, doing light landscaping, silk flower arranging, making bows for décor, and spending time with her family members including Harley, her Yorkipoo.

 

Betsy Garner

Clinical Operations Director
 

Betsy Garner, the Clinical Operations Director for Polley Clinic of Dermatology.  She is a lifelong native of Wilson County and has served the community in various positions.  She has an associate degree in Applied Science from Edgecombe Community College and worked as a radiology and lab technologist at the Stantonsburg Clinic and as a radiology technologist at Wilson Medical Center for 5 years.  During that time, she pursued her paramedic certification at Nash Community College and worked as a paramedic supervisor for Wilson County Emergency Medical Services for 20 years.  During those 20 years she worked part-time as a medical assistant with Hooper and Burnette Internal Medicine, Eastern Carolina ENT, and was an EMS and CPR instructor for Wilson Community College.  Betsy started as a medical assistant in the Rocky Mount office.  After a year and a half, she was promoted to a medical ombudsman and worked in the Fayetteville office for 5 years.  She has been the Clinical Operations Director since September of 2019. She is responsible for supervising and overseeing the daily operations of the clinical staff.  Betsy has gained great knowledge by working in all Polley Clinic locations and with each of our providers.  She has obtained certifications as a Certified Dermatology Tech and a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant.  She will tell you that she is thankful for and has enjoyed her time at Polley Clinic and plans to serve our Polley Clinic communities until she retires.

 

Shanika Vick

Human Resources Coordinator and Front Office Manager
 

Shanika studied Business Management and is a 2008 graduate of Barton College in Wilson, NC. She completed the Medical Science II Internship and has been employed by Polley Clinic of Dermatology for 12 years. She has held several positions as she has grown with the company. She has worked in the Call Center, the Front Desk, helped as a patient Pre-Triage Tech, and an Administrative Assistant. She has taken all the years and knowledge from this valuable experience and is now Manager of the Front Office Staff companywide. She also is the Lead Human Resource Coordinator. She will tell you, “I value the knowledge that I've gained in the field of Dermatology and enjoy training co-workers to deliver the highest quality of care to our patients.” Shanika and her husband Percy spend a lot of their free time at soccer fields cheering for her two daughters. They both are always looking ways to improve their already lovely new home.

 

Rhonda Dilda, CDT

Tricare and Medical Records Coordinator
 

Rhonda is a native of Wilson, NC. She graduated from Beddingfield High School. She trained as an EMT-Paramedic at Wilson Community College where she was the president of her graduating class. She obtained her CNA-II from Nash Community College and worked in the Emergency Department at Nash UNC Healthcare. Rhonda also received her CDT and is a member of The Association of Certified Dermatology Technicians (ACDT). She has worked in many areas of the healthcare profession including optometry, emergency medicine, special medicine, internal medicine, family medicine, oromaxillofacial surgery, and dermatology. Rhonda moved home to Wilson, in 2009 and began working for Polley Clinic. Her positions at Polley Clinic have included medical assistant, ombudsman, clinical trainer, assistant to the clinical manager, and the coordinator for medical records and Tricare. Rhonda is a member of the Delta Mu Delta Honor Society and is currently completing her undergraduate degree in Business Administration and Leadership at the University of Mount Olive. She is a detail-oriented person, likes a challenge, and works diligently to maintain the integrity of Polley Clinic. A quirky fact about Rhonda is that she loves the flavor of strawberries but does not like strawberries. In her free time she enjoys reading, traveling, outside activities, volunteering, fostering dogs, and culinary art. She enjoys spending time with her family including Kipper, her rescue Shih Tzu. Rhonda’s favorite motivational quotes are, “Don’t stop until you’re proud” and “Make it a great day!”

 

Andy McMurray

Director of Finance / Infrastructure Manager
 

Andy is a native of the Wilson area. He has spent his whole life in Wilson county. He graduated from Beddingfield High School and received a degree in Accounting from Wilson Community College. He also received a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Wilson Community College. His journey at the Polley Clinic started as an Administrative Assistant. Andy worked closely with the Practice Administrator and Payroll Manager. He was then promoted to Director of Finance, where he is responsible for payroll and accounts payable issues. He then took on the role as Infrastructure Manager. This position involves keeping all 7 locations in structural working order. He constantly works to maintain Polley Clinic’s relationships and reputation with its vendors. He is prompt and stays ready to help with any problems that may arise. During his free time, he can be found at a soccer field watching or playing with one of his three children. His oldest daughter is in travel soccer and the family spends many weekends at tournaments up and down the east coast.

 

Colette Strati, CMA (AAMA), CHO

HIPAA Compliance Officer, Accounts Receivable Coordinator
 

Colette Strati joined the Polley Clinic as a Medical Assistant in the Smithfield office. Since that time, she has worked with most of the Polley Clinic providers. In March of 2018 Colette accepted her current position of HIPAA Compliance Officer and Accounts Receivable Coordinator. Colette is very well qualified and proficient in the HIPAA Laws and Collection rules and laws. She will research accounts and follow the trail to make sure refunds and payments go to the correct places and people. Colette works closely with the billing department and assists patients in understanding the charges for services they receive at Polley Clinic. She also works with the management team to keep Polley Clinic compliant with HIPAA regulations and standards. Colette is a long-time resident of Johnston County NC and enjoys spending her free time with her husband and dogs. Colette has somewhat of a “green thumb”. If you visit her office in Wilson, you will see the result of her talents.

 

Betty Matthews MT/CDT

Medical Ombudsman
 

Betty is a native of Johnston County and graduated from Clayton High School and attended Johnston Memorial school of Medical Technology, where she obtained her MLT and two years later, her MT. Betty worked as a medical technologist at Johnston and Wilson Memorial, Wilson County health department, Dr. Dudley Anderson’s office and Hooper and Burnette Internal medicine, where she also became Dr. Thomas Hooper’s medical assistant. In January of 2016, she began working at the Polley Clinic of Dermatology where she obtained her Certified Dermatology Technician Certification. In October of 2019, she started the position of medical ombudsman. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family, (son and granddaughter) friends, growing orchids, working in her yard, and traveling.

 

Erin E. Taylor ACDT

Biologic Medication Coordinator
 

Erin grew up in Wilson, North Carolina and graduated from Hunt High School then to Wilson Community College and received a degree in Surgical Technology. She Worked in an operating room for nearly fourteen years. In 2015 she decided to make a career change and started working at Polley Clinic. She soon completed her Certified Dermatology Technician training. For four years she assisted various providers and enjoyed getting to know our patients at the various Polley Clinic locations. In December of 2019, she assumed the position of Biologic Coordinator for all Polley Clinic locations. She gathers and submits specific medical information to help patients acquire insurance approval for payment for various medications that treat psoriasis, atopic dermatitis and Idiopathic urticaria (“hives” of unknown origin). She enjoys spending her free time with her daughter, family, and friends. She also enjoys traveling and trying DIY projects around the house.

 

Meredith Collins

Call Center Manager
 

Meredith started out working at the front desk in Rocky Mount, NC and was promoted in November 2020 to our Call Center Manager. She started working at a young age and has over 7 years of management experience. Meredith is from Nash County, NC and was homeschooled for most of her life. She became engaged in December 2020 to her longtime boyfriend of 7 years and the couple has a beautiful daughter together. We may be hearing wedding bells in 2022! “I feel so blessed and thankful to be able to work for such a wonderful company as Polley Clinic and to know that I am helping others.
