Dennis Polley, DO

Dennis Polley, DO, is a Board Certified Dermatologist, has been caring for patients in Eastern North Carolina since 1984 with the support of his staff at Polley Clinic of Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery. Dr. Polley received his medical school education at the College of Osteopathic Medicine & Surgery in Des Moines, earning his Doctor of Osteopathy degree in 1979. He completed his dermatology residency at Fitzsimons Army Medical Center in Aurora, Colorado in 1983. Jalal H. Alghabra

Jalal H. Alghabra, MS, PA-C, joined Polley Dermatology, P.C. in June 2015. He has practiced dermatology for over 12 years in Michigan. In 2003, Jalal, graduated from Western Michigan University with a Master's Degree in Medicine as a Physician Assistant. His Bachelor’s Degree is also from Western Michigan University with a Biomedical Science major and Chemistry minor. He has been the President of the Michigan Dermatology Physician Assistants Association for the past 2 years. In 2014, Jalal won the prestigious Physician Assistant of the Year Award from the Michigan Dermatology of Physician Assistants Association. Jalal has also lectured about relevant diseases in Dermatology at Eastern Michigan University. His prior experience includes five years of pharmacy experience and he led research studies in a toxicology laboratory. In 2004, Jalal obtained his certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. He continues to play an active role with relevant and up to date dermatological and medical advances.

Clifford Amos, MS, PA-C

Clifford Amos, MS, PA-C, received a certificate of cardio- pulmonary technology from Bethesda Naval Hospital in 1986. He also received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Maryland in 1994 and a Master of Science degree from The George Washington University in 1997. His clinical experience includes: echocardiography technologist, cardiopulmonary technologist, US Navy Hospital Corpsman, family practice at the Tarboro Clinic, and The Polley Clinic of Dermatology. He is a proud member of the SDPA-Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants and the AAPA- American Academy of Physician Assistants. Mr. Amos joined Polley Dermatology, P.C. in October 2005.

Michelle Barton, DNP, FNP

Michelle Barton, DNP, FNP, is a nurse practitioner with over 33 years of experience as a Registered Nurse. She was an active duty army officer as a Registered Nurse assigned to WestPoint, United States Military Academy. She obtained a Master’s degree in Nursing from Johns Hopkins University, and received the Ruth Dale Ogilvy award for exceptional academic performance in 1995. Michelle also obtained her Adult and Pediatric Nurse Practitioner certificates from Johns Hopkins University in 1996 & 1997. She is also certified as a Dermatology Nurse Clinician. She has been working as a Dermatology Nurse Practitioner since 2000.  Michelle received her Doctoral degree from the University of South Florida (Nurse Practitioner Dermatology Program) in 2014.
Michelle's special interests in dermatology include skin cancer surveillance and prevention and skin disorders in women and teenagers. Her professional goals include research, publishing, and developing dermatology patient education. She has participated in several research studies, including acne, rosacea, and psoriasis studies. She is a frequent lecturer for local and national nurse practitioner audiences.

Cheryl Jones, MSPAS, PA-C

Cheryl Jones MSPAS, PA-C, is a former Detroit native who joined the Polley Dermatology Clinic staff in 2014. She obtained a Bachelor of Science degree from Michigan State University with high honors and a Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Detroit Mercy. As a certified physician assistant, she sharpened her internal medicine skills within a busy Detroit inner city office. For the past 18 years, Ms. Jones has worked solely in dermatology. She is wound care certified and has an extensive background in both medical and cosmetic dermatology. Thirteen years ago she founded the first clinical specialty physician assistant group in Michigan, qualifying as the 2nd dermatology physician assistant group in the nation. She served for eleven years as its president and is a staunch advocate for the promotion of physician assistant careers in dermatology. She has a special interest in cosmetic dermatology including BOTOX, dermal fillers, pigment disorders, and cosmeceuticals. She is a member of the American Headache Society and the Hyperhidrosis Society and utilizes botox as treatment for both chronic migraine and excessive sweating.


Philip Reasbeck, MS, PA-C, is a native of Pennsylvania and graduated from Gannon University in Erie, PA. He graduated magna cum laude earning both a bachelor of health science degree in 2011 and a master of physician assistant science degree in 2012. During his clinical training Philip completed 2 rotations in general dermatology. He also worked in the field of dermatology for 2 years in Cumberland, MD prior to joining the Polley Clinic in 2014. He has a special interest in general medical dermatology and is constantly expanding his knowledge in his speciality through continuing education.
